On Saturday, March 31, 2007, Paul Jacobs and Chris Daley organized the first formal West Coast Collectors Meeting on board the Liberty Ship S.S. Jeremiah O'Brien in San Francisco. Attendees were able to tour the ship and observe a war game staged by several of the collectors present. Chris Daley's 1250Ships offered a range of the latest release models for sale and several participants took out tables for exhibits and second-hand model sales. Though it was a Kassel year, several producers including Rudi and Egbert Kraus (Navis/Neptun), Dave Love (Mountford), Paul Jacobs (SMY), Norbert and Matti Broecher (Rhenania), Chris Daley (California/1250Ships), John Eagan (Eagan Ship Models) and John Youngerman were present. The following afternoon many of the attendees enjoyed an open house at Paul and Renee Jacobs' home in nearby Saratoga.
