The second East Coast Collectors Meeting was held at the Maritime Industry Museum on the SUNY Maritime College campus, Fort Schuyler, Bronx, New York on May 20-21, 2005. Once more, organizer Tom Haughton brought collectors, model dealers and producers together for two days of lectures, discussions and social events, culminating in the model show on Saturday. Again, many of the attendees spent the weekend at the College's dormitory rooms and combined sightseeing and navy Week ship visits with the weekend's model related events. Joining model producers Rudi and Egbert Kraus (Navis/Neptun) and Chris Daley (1250Ships), who returned from last year, were Alain Picouet (Quadrant), Paul Jacobs (SMY) and John Youngerman. Friday's Symposia included talks on naval camouflage, rigging miniature sailing ships and rapid prototyping, followed by a dinner at Tosca's restaurant.
